THE MYTH:

THE TRUTH:
It's all a bunch of hooey. There are really only two classes of tequila, boy, clear and yeller! Don't let nobody tell you different. SiIver (plata) tequila - sometimes called blanco - is considered finished when it is crystal clear, just out of the still. Never actually aged, some producers give their plata a little "rest" in stainless tanks or oak barrels up to 45 days. It is often bottled in the United States.
