THE MYTH:

THE TRUTH:
I've got a bottle of 1987 Tequila, that was the best year there ever was. Don't look for tequila to have a vintage year. We're not talking about delicate grape vine that varies from year to year depending on how much sun it gets or how much water at the right monent. Agave looks like your neighbor's house plant called "mother-in-law's tongue." Agave is a desert plant that ekes out an existence over 12 years before it ripens. There is very little difference in "sugars" from one year to the next, and agave is harvested year-round.
